TryoutsPlayers are selected once a year through open tryouts, which are usually held in late June. All players must tryout each year they play. In other words, selection for a travel team one year does not guarantee players a spot on a travel team in future years. Prospective players do not need to notify Tri-Town United in advance if they wish to tryout, but they should plan to attend BOTH nights of tryouts (rain or shine) to be considered for a Fall team. If you cannot make it to both nights of tryouts, you must notify the Tri-Town United Travel Soccer Board in writing. Please arrive at Sarette Field by 5:30 with a completed Tryout Form. There is no fee for trying out for Tri-Town Travel Soccer. Each child should be dressed appropriately, with shin guards and cleats. No player will be allowed to try out in any portion of his or her travel uniform, including jersey, shorts or jacket. Please bring your own ball and a water bottle for your child. Each player will be assigned a number and directed to the appropriate age group to participate in the tryout. Coaches, board members, and volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions and organize the tryout. Players are placed on teams by ability, so come prepared to show the coaches your skills. Kids younger than 7 may attend and will be evaluated by the coaches to determine if they are ready for competitive soccer. Teams will be formed based on level of interest and available coaches.
